Man Wanted for Thomas Street Shooting Arrested
Also Tuesday, search for a different suspect leads to a second arrest for unrelated crime

Newark police early Tuesday arrested a 39-year-old city man wanted in connection with a double-shooting on Thomas Street earlier this month.
A second suspect was arrested Wednesday in Philadelphia.
The man, Manuel Rodriguez, was captured at 1 Grumman Ave. by members of the fugitive apprehension squad, Sgt. Ron Glover said in a statement.

Rodriguez was wanted in connection with a shooting in which two people, a 25-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man, were wounded. He faces charges of aggravated assault and several weapons offenses.
Also early Tuesday, police arrested Blair Granger, 31, on several drugs and weapons charges in the course of a search of a 3rd Street apartment. Police originally went to the home searching for a robbery suspect, who was not found, but arrested Granger after he was allegedly found in possession of a pump-action shotgun and 81 glassine envelopes of heroin, Glover said.
