“Congratulations to Salsa Latin Bistro/Lounge’s owners on starting their restaurant business in our great City of Newark,” Quiles said.
Baraka said the restaurant is located within walking distance of some of Newark’s “world-class attractions” – such as the Prudential Center – which will create an economic ecosystem that benefits both of them.
Marcus Randolph, CEO of Invest Newark, the city’s economic development corporation, was also on hand at the Feb. 24 ribbon cutting event to wish Salsa Latin Bistro and its owners good luck.
“The entrepreneurial journey is not easy,” Randolph said. “Tonight is about recognizing this accomplishment and helping these business owners start strong amongst friends and community.”
