Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Daniel should be recognized because he chose a career that will impact the lives of the many children he interacts with each day while teaching in Newark. He could have taken a job in the business world after graduating but chose the teaching profession. Daniel also gives his after school time by helping coach the school’s football and basketball teams.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

Daniel is young (first year teaching) and excited about the hundreds (or thousands) of children he will be crossing paths with and improving their lives during his hopefully long teaching career.
