NJ Woman Missing For Nearly 7 Months, Police Search Continues

The missing woman was in possession of an electric scooter and a mini-speaker when she was last seen, authorities said.

NEWARK, NJ — Police continue to search for an Essex County woman who has been missing for nearly seven months, authorities say.

On Wednesday, the Newark Department of Public Safety asked for the public’s help finding Robin J. Bacote, 53, of Newark, who was reported missing on April 4.

Bacote was last seen at noon on March 28 at Baldwin Avenue near Clinton Avenue. She was in possession of an electric scooter and a mini-speaker, authorities said.

Police said Bacote is African American, 5 feet 9 inches and about 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a multi-colored scarf, a green vest, gray pants and sneakers.

Authorities said anyone with information can call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website.
