2 Men Shot, One Killed In Broad Daylight In New Brunswick
The men were shot at 6:53 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Throop Avenue and Delavan Street. One died.
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — Two men were shot — and one died — early Tuesday evening on the city streets in New Brunswick, said Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and New Brunswick Police Chief Vincent Sabo.
The men were shot at 6:53 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Throop Avenue and Delavan Street.
When police responded there for a 911 call of gunshots, officers located two male victims, both who sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to Robert Wood Hospital.

Numi Simmons, 23, of New Brunswick, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The other male victim is currently in critical condition.

Police say this does not appear to be a random act of violence and there does not appear to be a threat to the public.
