New Brunswick Elks Lodge 324 has announced a Flag Day ceremony at noon June 14 at the Elks Lodge, located at 40 Livingston Ave.
The public is invited to the ceremony, which will feature participants from the New Brunswick Police Department, the New Brunswick Fire Department, the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department, The New Jersey National Guard, the New Brunswick Knights of Columbus, the New Brunswick High School Reserve Officers’ Training Corps and New Brunswick Elks Cub Scout Pack 19, according to a release from the Elks.
Doves will be released after the ceremony to honor veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan, according to the release.

Following the ceremony, the New Brunswick Elks will honor veterans who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan with the release of doves.
Mayor James Cahill will also give a speech.
