Sci-Fi Fan Organization to Hold June 10 Meeting in North Brunswick

The USS Avenger, a long-time science fiction fan association based in central New Jersey, will hold its monthly meeting at 2 p.m. June 10 at the North Brunswick Free Public Library on Hermann Road.

Founded in 1985, the USS Avenger-a chapter of Starfleet, The International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc.-has provided fans interested in science fiction (particularly the
long-running Star Trek franchise), fantasy, science, and space exploration with a social organization through which they can share their interests and build friendships with like-minded individuals.

The Avenger provides regular meetings and events, as well as a bi-monthly newsletter, as a means of building these friendships. Members will gather this month to discuss the latest news and plan group activities and events.
This month, the meeting's program will focus on Star Trek fan productions, which have become a sort of cottage industry, with more than a dozen projects underway, produced by fans, for fans, for the sheer love of Star
Trek.

Attendees at this month's meeting will discuss the current status of a number of these productions, and what new episodes will be coming soon. All interested persons are welcome to come and join in.
