Authorities Searching for Suspect in French Street Home Invasion

Local authorities are searching for an intruder who reportedly broke into a French Street home and sexually assaulted a female resident on Thursday afternoon.

According to a press release from the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office, the adult victim reported that she was attacked in her home just before 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

A weapon was not believed to be used during the attack, the release said.

Authorities did not provide a description of the suspect.

Investigator Andreea Capraru of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office and Det. Raymond Quick of the New Brunswick Police Department are investigating the incident, according to the release.
