Blood Drive, Lunchtime Recital Tuesday in New Brunswick

A guide to daily happenings in the Hub City.

1. Donate blood at Johnson & Johnson between the hours of 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. today, Tuesday, Oct. 22 during a breast cancer awareness blood drive. All donors will receive a pair of fleece pajama pants and be entered into a drawing for a pair of Superbowl tickets.

2. The First Reformed Church, 9 Bayard St., will host a free lunchtime recital at 12:15 p.m. today featuring the group "trio@play." A free lunch will be served following the performance. 

3. Catch a performance by the Peter Park Band at 8 p.m, tonight at Tumulty's, presented by the New Brunswick Jazz Project. There is a $4 soda charge for patrons under 21. A jam session will begin at 9:30 p.m. 

4. The exhibit "From Mexico to New Brunswick" will have its final day at the New Brunswick Free Public Library today, Tuesday, Oct. 22. Anthropologist Bas van Doesburg of the Universidad Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM) will provide a closing talk at 7 p.m. tonight at the library.
