Burglary, Break-In At Rutgers Fraternity House Under Investigation: PD
Rutgers University Police said the burglary was reported Wednesday evening at the Sigma Chi house, which is on the College Avenue campus.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — Rutgers University Police are investigating a break-in at a campus fraternity house, after two students say they caught the burglars leaving their residence.
Officials are seeking to identify the suspects, who reportedly entered the Sigma Chi residence by force and took several valuable items.
Police said the burglary was reported Wednesday around 7:07 p.m. at the fraternity, located at 40 Hardenbergh Street on the College Avenue campus. Two Sigma Chi brothers were on their way back when they spotted a pair of people leaving the house, police said in a statement.

The brothers confronted the perpetrators, who then ran away, according to RUPD.
Police did not provide a description of the suspects, and said information is limited at this time. None of the Sigma Chi residents were hurt, officials added.

Officials ask that anyone with more information, or who may have been in the area at the time, to contact the RUPD Detective Bureau at 848-932-8025.
The police department is also reminding campus residents to make sure they keep all their valuable items safe, do not prop open exterior doors, and make sure all points of entry into the building and work spaces are secured.
