City to Open Parking Decks to Residents Tonight Ahead of Snow

Residents will be able to park for free in five decks around New Brunswick.

In anticipation of tonight's winter storm, the New Brunswick Parking Authority will open five parking decks at 6 p.m. for city residents to park for free off city streets.

The Morris Street, New Street, Plum Street, Wolfson and Wellness Plaza decks will be open for public use overnight.

All cars must be removed by 8 a.m. Thursday morning, and proof of residency must be shown to security guards upon exiting the decks to avoid a fee, according to city spokesman Russell Marchetta.
