Enter Highland Park's Gingerbread House Competition, Held Nov. 25

HIGHLAND PARK, NJ — Plan now to enter Highland Park's Gingerbread House Contest, held the Saturday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 25.

Rules:

1. The Gingerbread Houses will be displayed on Saturday, Nov. 25 at the Highland Park Night Owl Market.
2. Houses will be accepted to drop off from 1 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Saturday
3. Entries are not limited to the structure of a house. Competitors are welcome and encouraged to uniquely design their entries for the 2023 competition.
4. Voting will be done by the general public on-site. Voting starts at 5 p.m. and ends at 7:30 p.m.
5. Size is up to you. Go with what you think will win.
6. Everything but the board/pan must be 100 percent edible. Edible materials are not limited to candies and icings. Use of gum paste, fondant, pastillage, chocolate, modeling chocolate, royal icing, isomalt, cast sugar, gelatin and pressed sugar is encouraged. Use of "Disco Dust," "Rainbow Dust" or “Hologram Powder” is permitted.
7. Materials do not have to be exclusively homemade and may be store-bought (as long as they are edible).
8. First place will win a tote filled with items from the Night Owl Market vendors. Placers will receive ribbons. Depending on registration counts, we may expand the rewards.
