Gov. Murphy Names New Middlesex County Prosecutor, Linda Estremera
First Assistant Prosecutor Linda Estremera, who works in the prosecutor's office, was chosen by Murphy to become the next county prosecutor:

MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ — Gov. Phil Murphy selected a new Middlesex County Prosecutor:
Deputy First Assistant Prosecutor Linda Estremera, who currently works in the prosecutor's office, was hand-picked by Murphy to become the new Middlesex County Prosecutor.
She will take over the top law enforcement job in the county from current Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone, who was appointed by Murphy in 2020 to a five-year term. Ciccone announced this week she will retire at the end of December.

Estremera has worked as an attorney in the Middlesex County Prosecutor's office since 2001. She graduated from the City University of New York School of Law.
Ciccone was the first woman to be the Middlesex County Prosecutor, and Estremera will be the second.
