Enter Highland Park's Jack-O-Lantern Contest

HIGHLAND PARK, NJ — Enter Highland Park's Jack-O-Lantern Contest, held this Friday, Halloween.

To enter the contest, fill out the contest form at mainstreethp.org/jackolantern, and learn how to vote to choose the winning jack o lantern.

Bring your carved jack-o-lantern to 212 Raritan Avenue on Thursday, October 30 between 4-6 p.m. or Friday, October 31 between 8:30 - 11:30 a.m.

The public will vote for their favorite pumpkin. Pumpkins will be on display under the Welkovits Pavilion next to 212 Raritan Ave from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on October 31 for in person votes from the public.

Pumpkin must be hollowed out and if desired, have their own light source that is battery operated (strongly encouraged).

Also, there will be live music from 2:30 - 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Raritan Avenue pavilion where the farmers' market is always located. Mike Noordzy's Bats will be playing spooky tunes.

As a special treat this Friday, the farmers' market will be giving away free tote bags filled with business coupons. They will be given out Friday afternoon from the pavilion next to 212 Raritan Avenue.

Many shops in Highland Park will be giving out candy on Friday. And at 7 p.m. "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" will be shown for free at the Highland Park Outdoor Movie Theater (next to 212 Raritan Avenue.
