Free Carriage Rides, Caroling Saturday At East Jersey Old Town Village

On Dec. 2, the Piscataway village will have live music, wagon rides, children's crafts and carolers, plus Christmas storytelling:

PISCATAWAY, NJ — Kick off the holiday season this Saturday, Dec. 2 in East Jersey Old Town Village.

East Jersey Old Town Village is a historic village in Piscataway that has been preserved to look like New Jersey in colonial times. It is run by Middlesex County. This Saturday, the village will have live music, wagon rides, children’s crafts and carolers, plus refreshments. Later in the afternoon, stick around for storytelling of timeless holiday classics.

  • 11:30 a.m. - Founder and Volunteer Recognition Ceremony
  • 12 p.m. - Short Stories, presented by Traveling Literary Theatre
  • 12:30 p.m. - Colonial Holiday Music, presented by Anne and Ridley Enslow
  • 1:30 p.m. - "A Christmas Carol," presented by Traveling Literary Theatre
  • 3 p.m. - "It’s a Wonderful Life," presented by Classic Radio Road Show
