PISCATAWAY, NJ — Kick off the holiday season Dec. 6 at East Jersey Old Town Village in Piscataway.

East Jersey Old Town Village is a historic village preserved to look as it did in Colonial American times.

From 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Dec. 6, this free, family-friendly event is open the public.

  • Storytelling, including a special reading of Charles Dickens’ "A Christmas Carol" and Christmas Short Stories
  • A radio play version of the beloved classic "It’s a Wonderful Life"
  • 18th and 19th-century holiday music

Attendees can also explore the nearby Cornelius Low House Museum, which is accessible via RIDE, the County’s free, accessible, on-demand shuttle service that will operate between the two historic sites throughout the day.

East Jersey Old Town Village is located at 1050 River Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854. This holiday family event is presented by the New Jersey Division of History and Historic Preservation and the Arts Institute of Middlesex County.
