Man Assaulted Monday Morning on Hale Street
A victim was hit over the head during a robbery attempt.

A robbery attempt on Hale Street early Monday morning sent a New Brunswick man to the hospital, police say.
According to Cpt. J.T. Miller of New Brunswick police, around 2:30 a.m. Monday, a 32-year-old New Brunswick man was approached by two unidentified males at the corner of Comstock Street and Jersey Avenue.
The two suspects allegedly demanded money from the man and hit him in the head with a rock. The man "refused" to hand over any money and the suspects fled, Miller said.

The victim was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries, Miller said.
The victim was unable to provide descriptions of the two suspects, Miller said.
