Man Slashed on Somerset Street in Saturday Fight
The victim was not seriously injured, police say.

Police are searching for a suspect wanted for slashing another man across the chest during a fight on Saturday morning.
According to a report on NJ.com, at approximately 2:22 a.m. Saturday, a fight broke out involving several people at the corner of Somerset Street and Easton Avenue.
The victim, 21, of South Plainfield, argued verbally with the suspect, who slashed the victim's chest and fled down Easton Avenue, according to the report.

The victim sustained a minor injury during the attack.
The suspect is described as a Middle Eastern or Spanish male with "slicked-back" hair, according to the report.

Cpt. J.T. Miller of New Brunswick Police said the fight is believed to have started over an argument of a female friend of the victim. The victim and the female know the assailant from past interactions, according to the report.
