UPDATE: Rail Service Resumes With Delays

Rail service has resumed between the Metropark and Trenton rail stations with delays up to one hour following a pedestrian strike at Metropark.

All train service was halted between the two stations on the Northeast Corridor line earlier this afternoon after a  pedestrian was hit by a train at 3:30 p.m. by an Amtrak train carrying 206 passengers, according to NJ.com.

According to the NJ Transit website, delays up to one hour are expected on trains in both directions. Delays of up to 15-20 minutes are also expected on the North Jersey Coast Line.
