Missing Dayton Woman Found in New Brunswick

A Dayton woman who had been missing since Thursday afternoon was located Saturday morning in New Brunswick.

Chandrika Purohit, 62, was found in New Brunswick after last being seen by her husband at the Walmart on Route 1 in North Brunswick on Thursday. Purohit was supposed to call her husband when she finished shopping, but she never called him, police said. 

Detectives worked piece together video surveillance from the Walmart in North Brunswick and train stations in New Brunswick train stations to locate her.

Assistance was provided by New Jersey Transit Police, New Brunswick Police, and Rutgers University Police.
