NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — In addition to the two Rutgers dorm rooms that were entered by the same suspect over the weekend (described as a thin Hispanic man in his early 20s, who police say tried to steal valuable items from each room), there were two more incidents of crime near the Rutgers campus this past weekend, Oct. 12 and 13:

At 9:29 a.m. Sunday, an unnamed business on Paul Robeson Boulevard near George Street was robbed. An employee said a customer asked for something behind the counter. As he handed the items over, the suspect made a verbal threat and snatched the items from his hand, and then fled on foot.

No weapons were displayed and no injuries were sustained. The perpetrator is described as a 20-30-year-old, thin African-American man, approximately 5'10" in height, who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with red and white graphics, black sweatpants and light blue sneakers.
