New Brunswick Hosts NJ Golden Gloves

Boxers of all ages and sizes took to the ring Saturday night at Brunswick Boxing and Fitness Club for the third tournament date of the New Jersey Golden Gloves, an annual statewide boxing tournament that hosts dozens of boxers and hundreds of spectators.

Saturday's date at Brunswick Boxing Gym featured 26 athletes in 19 bouts, according to Dan Doyle, President of New Jersey Golden Gloves.

Nine tournament dates are scheduled, with the finals to be held on April 20 at the Prudential Center in Newark, where the best boxers will be expected to "show their stuff," Doyle said.
