New Brunswick School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in New Brunswick is September 7. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The New Brunswick School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 11/10: Veterans' Day observance (No school)
• 11/22: Early Dismissal
• 11/23-24: Thanksgiving Recess (No school)

December

• 12/18: Professional Development for Staff (Early Dismissal for Students)
• 12/22: Early Dismissal
• 12/25-31: Christmas/Winter Break (No school)

January

• 1/1: New Year's Day (No school)
• 1/2: Return to School
• 1/15: Martin Luther King's Day (No school)

February

• 2/12: Professional Development for Staff (Early Dismissal for Students)
• 2/19: Presidents' Day (No school)

March

• 3/30-4/6: Easter/Spring Break (No school)
