Oh Baby! Route 18 Site of Tuesday Morning Delivery

Mother and baby are doing fine, according to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.

Even the stork can get stuck in traffic.

According to a report on NJ.com, around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, a baby was born on the side of Route 18 in New Brunswick, assisted by EMS responders and a New Brunswick Fire Department team.

According to the report, the birth occurred on Route 18 northbound near the Route 1 overpass.

Both mother and baby were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and are listed in good condition, according to Peter Haigney, spokesman for the hospital.
