Piscataway Man Charged With Vehicular Homicide For 2024 Car Crash
Devon Scuccimarri, 28, is charged with vehicular homicide for the deaths of two passengers in his car when he got into an accident in 2024.
LINDEN, NJ — A Piscataway man is now charged with vehicular homicide for the deaths of two passengers in his car when he got into an accident in Linden in October 2024.
Devon Scuccimarri, 28, was arrested April 10 and charged with two counts of second-degree vehicular homicide, announced Union County Prosecutor William Daniel and Linden Police Chief David Hart.
The crash happened at 3:00 a.m. October 5, 2024, at the intersection of South Stiles Street and Rts. 1&9 in Linden.

Scuccimarri was driving an Infiniti G37. The Union County Prosecutor said the Infiniti went through a red light at that intersection at a high rate of speed and collided with a Freightliner tractor trailer, which was making a left-hand turn.
The Infiniti’s front seat passenger, Ahmad Campbell, 25, of Edison, died at the scene. The other two occupants of the Infiniti, Scuccimarri and rear passenger Melvin Jones, 24, of Piscataway, were taken to Newark University Hospital with serious injuries.

Jones later died at the hospital.
Scuccimarri is currently being held at the Union County Jail.
