Rutgers Student Carjacked While Sitting In Car

The student said he was sitting inside his car, which was parked on the College Avenue campus, when two masked men approached the car:

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — A Rutgers student was carjacked in New Brunswick city center Friday night, Aug. 2, said Rutgers campus police.

The student said he was sitting inside his car, which was parked on the College Avenue campus, specifically in Lot 30 (126 College Avenue in New Brunswick).

Two masked men approached the vehicle, displayed a weapon (the type of weapon was not named) and demanded he hand over the car keys.

The student complied and the perpetrators drove off in his gray Toyota Rav4. They were last seen on Ray Street driving toward Easton Avenue.

A description of the perpetrator(s) is limited at this time. No arrests have been made.
