‘Significant’ Car Burglaries Reported In North Brunswick, Police Say

North Brunswick police received 'many' reports regarding vehicles that were entered and ransacked on Friday.

NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - North Brunswick police received “many” reports for vehicles that we entered and ransacked Thursday evening into Friday morning.

The “significant” number of car burglaries were reported in the Farrington area of town; all burglarized vehicles were left unlocked, with items such as loose change personable valuables in plain view, police said.

It was not immediately clear how many burglaries were reported, or the streets which were targeted.

“PLEASE remember to lock car doors and remove any items of value,” North Brunswick police said in a Facebook post warning residents of the burglaries. “There were many other cars that were attempted, but when the suspect pulled on a locked door handle, he moved on to the next.”
