Sunday Summit to Address Climate Change

Residents are invited to come and discuss climate change and sustainable energy sources with a panel of experts.

A panel of experts will discuss climate change and sustainable energy in a town hall meeting on Sunday. 

The "Clean Energy Solutions Town Hall" will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 24 at Piscataway J.F. Kennedy Memorial Library 500 Hoes Lane, Piscataway.

It will feature Assemblyman Upendra Chivukula; NJ Spotlight co-founder Tom Johnson; "Mr. Sustainable" Dante DiPirro; and Kris Ohleth, Director of Permitting for the Atlantic Wind Connection, according to a press release from organizers.

Harriet Shugarman, Executive Director of ClimateMama will moderate the discussion, according to the release.

The forum is Hosted by ClimateMama, Sierra Club, 350.orgNJ, Mother’s Project for Sustainable Energy, Lawrence Brook Watershed Partnership, New Jersey Sustainable Collegiate Partners, and Food and Water Watch.

It is free and open to the public, but donations will be accepted to benefit Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.
