The Arts This Weekend: Sully Erna, Patti Lupone, 'Jangala' by the Lustig Dance Theatre

Patti Lupone and NJ Symphony Orchestra, a rescheduled Sully Erna concert, and a new Lustig Dance Theatre production tops the arts in NB this week.

Craving theatre? Here are the performances you won't want to miss this weekend.

Friday, May 31
An Evening with Sully Erna
State Theatre
8 pm
Tickets: $35 - $55
732-246-4769

Though this is a rescheduled concert from April 14, it's worth the wait! See Godsmack frontman Sully Erna live in concert!  Erna's hits include "Sinner's Pray" and the Godsmack songs "I Stand Alone," "Straight Out of Line," "Keep Away," and "Voodoo." Erna will perform songs from his solo album, Avalon. Erna released Avalon, his first solo album outside of Godsmack, in 2010. The project marks a big departure from the style of music that Erna is typically known for, utilizing the hypnotic sounds of tribal rhythms, melodic pianos, cellos, and haunting vocals.
