Worker Killed, Run Over By Car Inside New Brunswick Car Wash

A New Brunswick car wash employee was killed Tuesday when he was run over by a car, driven by an 81-year-old woman, inside the car wash.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — An employee at a New Brunswick car wash was killed Tuesday when he was run over by a car inside the car wash.

This occurred at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday at Trax Car Wash on Rt. 18 in New Brunswick, according to New Brunswick Police spokesman Capt. Amish Shah.

Police say the car, driven by an 81-year-old woman, accelerated while entering the tunnel portion of the car wash, and struck the employee. She also hit the wall of the car wash tunnel.

Enrique Barahona, 54, of New Brunswick, died at the scene.

The woman was also injured and taken to a local hospital. Two other employees at the car wash were also minorly injured.
