Annual Pevny Dinner Raises Money for Scholarships
The annual Michael Pevny Scholarship Dinner is Sunday at the New Milford Elks Club.

Michael Pevny was a 34-year-old husband, father, NMHS teacher and coach, who had his life tragically cut short after a brief illness in November 2004. The Michael Pevny Scholarship Dinner was established to honor not only Pevny's memory but also the spirit of generosity that marked his personal and professional life.
This year's dinner is scheduled for Sunday, March 3 from 12 p.m. to 3.p.m. at the New Milford Elks Club, 1 Patrolman Ray Woods Lane.
The dinner has raised more than $60,000 to benefit the New Milford Scholarship fund, and it has enabled the continuation of honoring the memory of countless individuals who also have scholarships named in their honor.

The dinner also pays tribute to the memory of Lauren Savino, a member of the Class of 2009, who was taken from New Milford at far too young an age. All of the profits from the dinner are used to fund scholarship opportunities for the students of New Milford.
Tickets for the dinner are $50 each. You can pay at the door but please reserve your tickets in advance. To reserve your ticket via e-mail contact David Wilson at: dwilson@newmilfordschools.org.
