Alpine/Closter Coldwell Banker supports Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County through Annual Garage Sale

For the fourth straight year, Alpine/Closter Coldwell Banker is hosting a garage sale on Saturday, April 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., rain or shine, to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County. New and used items can be dropped off from April 22nd to April 26th at Coldwell Banker, 15 Ver Valen St., Closter, NJ.
“We look forward to watching this event grow each year,” said Terri Buffa, Branch Vice President of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Alpine/Closter. “We believe in Habitat Bergen’s mission and want to do all we can to help the affiliate succeed.”
Sale items include beautiful furniture, giftware and accessories, as well as construction tools and supplies. All donations (except books and clothing) are being accepted. About Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County
The goal of Habitat Bergen is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the face of the earth by working in partnership with people in need. Using volunteer labor and donated funds and materials, Habitat Bergen builds or rehabilitates simple, decent houses and sells them to low-income families at cost, but with no interest added. Habitat Bergen is a people-to-people partnership, which joins all of us together regardless of race, nationality, religion, or socioeconomic status. That partnership begins with the homeowner families (partner families). Habitat Bergen is not a giveaway program, but a joint venture in which those who benefit from the housing ministry are involved in the work at various levels. They help with the construction of their own home, as well as the houses of their neighbors.
