New Milford Dad Accused of Punching Cop During Graduation

The lack of seating at New Milford High School's graduation ceremony at Paramus Catholic Monday caused an irate parent to throw a punch at a New Milford cop, resulting in his arrest for allegedly assaulting a police officer, New Milford police said. 

According to Chief Frank Papapietro, Sanjiv Agarwal, 49, of New Milford became angry when he found out that all of the seats had been taken inside the auditorium where the ceremony was taking place.

Attorneys Scrutinize Public's Evidence at United Water Hearings

After sitting through 16 months of hearings, New Milford residents finally got their chance Thursday to challenge the testimonies of Hekemian's experts regarding flooding, traffic volume and pedestrian safety associated with the proposed development of the United Water property. However, their testimony was halted at almost every turn as attorneys for both sides scrutinized their photographic and testimonial evidence for relevancy and admissibility. 

NMHS Holocaust Studies Make History With Holocaust Memorial Dedication

On April 10 , 2013, Tambuscio and this year's group of students took part in the dedication of the Holocaust Memorial to honor the people of Trsice who hid the Wolf family during the Nazi occupation and also to remember Jewish residents murdered by the Nazis.

The monument was established as a cooperative project by the U.S. Commission for the Preservation of American Heritage Abroad, the Czech Republic towns of Trsice and Olomouc, the Czech Republic Organization for Support of Burned Villages -- villages and towns destroyed during World War II -- and the Holocaust studies students of New Milford High School. 

Ruffing It Up at Van Saun's New Dog Park

On Friday, John Fugazzie of River Edge saw his dream of having a County dog park at Van Saun Park become a reality as the dog park unofficially opened.

Fugazzie put a great deal of effort into organizing support to bring a dog park to Van Saun so that residents from River Edge, Oradell, New Milford and Paramus can easily access it. 

Wine & Roses Gets a Reality TV Makeover

Reality TV show "Business Makeover" selected Wine & Roses as a business that they wanted to makeover. Filming took place last week with the Big Reveal this week. The actual show is set to air this Fall on TNT. 

From new displays to a wine bar for tastings, Wine & Roses owner Lou Denis invites everyone in to see the new look.
