Hekemian Attorney to Make Concessions Based on Traffic Engineer's Testimony

Cross examination of Berge Tombalakin, a borough traffic engineer, came to a close Monday evening.

Andy DelVecchio, the applicant’s attorney, questioned Tombalakin about 10 minutes and made several concessions to the board based on his responses.

“For the record, the applicant will stipulate, to the extent that there is any improvement to be made to the offsite intersection of River Road and Madison Avenue, that it will, as a condition of this board's approval, pay its pro rata share of that cost," said DelVecchio. 

Borough attorney Scott Sproviero asked Tombalakin to explore potential improvements that could be made to help traffic if the application were to pass, specifically at the intersection of River Road and Madison Avenue.

Tambalakin will begin examining potential necessary improvements and hopes to have recommendations for the board at the next meeting on Dec. 10.
