Jets Pull Off a Stunner, Giants Among Leagues Worst

After five weeks of the NFL season, the New York Jets are 3-2, which is a bit surprising to many fans. On the other hand, the Giants are one of the biggest surprises in the NFL for all the wrong reasons and are owners of a 0-5 record. 

Both teams have struggled offensively and are equal in many categories despite the Giants having much more talent and experience.  Rex Ryan’s defense could be the difference between going 3-2 or 0-5 at the moment.

The defensive side of the ball is supposed to be the Jets biggest strength, and it is. For the Giants, they like to rely on getting pressure on the quarterback via defensive ends Jason Pierre-Paul, Justin Tuck and Mathias Kiwanuka. Take a look at the Jets and Giants defenses by the numbers:

On the offensive side of the ball, the Jets are in a complete rebuilding mode.
