Kindergarten Registration Around the Corner, Find Information Here

As the 2013 calendar year winds to an end, preparation for the 2014/15 school year begins and where better to start then with the youngest members of the New Milford School District, incoming kindergarteners.

Parents who would like to register their children for Kindergarten for the 2014-2015 school year are asked to call the school to request a Registration Packet and set up an appointment date.    

Residents who live on or south of Monmouth and River Edge Avenues should call Berkley Street Elementary School at 201-262-0191.  Families who live north of Monmouth and River Edge Avenues should contact B. F. Gibbs Elementary School at 201-261-0939. School offices will be closed for the holiday recess from Monday, Dec. 23, through and including Wednesday, Jan. 1.

Registration packets will be mailed to parents. The New Milford School District asks that parents fill out all forms in the packets and bring them on the day of their registered appointment.

Children who will be 5 years old by Oct. 1, 2014, are eligible to register.  A birth certificate and immunization records as well as proof of residency (apartment lease/property deed and two current utility bills, each from a different utility) are required.  Bring these items, along with the registration packet, to your scheduled appointment.  Final registration cannot take place without these mandatory papers.

The registration period will run from Tuesday, Jan. 21 through Monday, Feb. 3.
