Man Accused Of Burglarizing Hackensack Businesses: Police
Peter W. Tobin, 52, stole cash registers from 2 businesses, a restaurant and a bakery, police said.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Hackensack man was arrested in connection with three recent commercial burglaries in his hometown, police announced.
Peter W. Tobin, 52, was charged with three counts each of burglary and theft, and two counts of criminal mischief, said Detective Cap. Darrin DeWitt.
Fairmount Eats was burglarized twice overnight while it was closed. In each case, someone broke the glass door with a rock, entered, and left with the cash register and money, DeWitt said.

B&W Bakery was also burglarized. The cash register was stolen from that business too, DeWitt said.
Hackensack police officers investigated, found a cash register, and Tobin was identified as the suspect, DeWitt said.

Tobin was arrested and charged, the captain said. He was released on summonses, pending an appearance at Central Judicial Processing Court on Sept. 23.
