The morning was picture perfect as residents lined the sidewalks of River Road to watch New Milford's annual Memorial Day Celebration. This year, the Jewish War Veterans served as the Grand Marshals of the parade. After the parade, wreaths were laid at the monuments to veterans and the newly moved Jewish War Veterans monument. Miss VFW was New Milford High School's Allison Nativo, who also just received her <a href="https://patch.com/A-44Gs" rel="nofollow">Girl Scout Gold Award</a> last week.
