National Night Out Is Tonight

National Night Out is an annual fun night out held on the field behind Borough Hall. SRO Officer Keith Wester, along with the assistance of SRO Officer Bill Wilde, undertakes the task of organizing this annual community event. 

National Night Out is a unique crime and drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW). It involves citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials coming together in an effort to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs; promotes neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and, send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

There will be free popcorn and cotton candy, giveaways, and rides for the kids. The band Sweeter Than Honey is returning to entertain the town with live music. New Milford Police and Fire Departments will be on hand for equipment demonstrations, as well as representatives from the Bergen County Police and Sheriff's Departments.  

National Night Out will be held tonight from 7 pm to 10 pm in the field behind borough hall.
