New Milford Elks Host "Batter Up" Contest Saturday

The New Milford Elks will be hosting their annual "Batters Up" contest on Saturday, July 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at La Barbera Field behind Borough Hall. 

The "Batters Up" batting competition is open to boys and girls ages 5-15. During the competition, each batter gets 10 pitches from a pitching machine. The farther the ball is hit, the more points the batter scores; the highest scores in each age group win.  Highest scores in each age group then qualifies for regional competition, which will be followed by the state competition.
