The Garage: Not Your Father's Barbershop

The Garage Men's Grooming Lounge, a modern salon fused with the traditional barbershop, has opened on River Road. With its vintage '57 Chevy front desk, swing music and pop art, the vibe screams retro. 

After being in the business for 15 years, salon owner, Stacey Grazano, decided to strike out on her own. Rather than just opening up another salon, she wanted to offer a place designed exclusively for men with a focus on quality service. And she wanted to open it in New Milford.

"While women have endless choices when it comes to salons, men have few," Grazano said. "There are the traditional barbershops that just offer a cut and that's it, unisex salons or Supercuts."

"I wanted to give them something more," Grazano said. She wanted to offer them customized service.  

And that was the seed of her idea--to create a gentlemen’s lounge specifically dedicated to the discerning man who wants to look his best.

At The Garage, men can enjoy an old fashioned shave, scalp massage and hot towel. Every haircut comes with a shampoo and style. Grazano also provides color services, as well.

Men's haircuts start at $22, kids (14 and under) start at $16 and seniors start at $17.   

Grazano also offers her clients a complimentary coffee/tea/soda bar and for every person that you send to The Garage, you will receive a free haircut.
