The Week Ahead: Mayor & Council Reorganization

The New Milford Mayor and Council reorganization meeting will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the council chambers of .

Randi Duffie will take the oath of office for her second term as councilwoman and Hedy Grant will be sworn in for her first term. Swearing them in will be Assemblywoman Connie Wagner. Councilman Austin Ashley, who ran on the ticket with Duffie and Grant, was sworn into office by Senator Bob Gordon at the November 28th regular meeting of the Mayor and Council.

The re-election of , changes the face of the council from a Republican majority to 3-3 split with Councilmen Howard Berner, Diego Robalino and Dominic Colucci representing the Republican party. This split council will require that Mayor Ann Subrizi cast her vote in the event of a tie.
