The Board of Education will be holding its regularly scheduled work session Monday, 7pm in the Media Center at New Milford High School.

The Environmental and Energy Commission will be holding its regular monthly meeting Tuesday, 7pm in the upstairs conference room at Borough Hall. What exactly is the commission responsible for?

The Commission keeps an index of all open areas, whether publicly or privately owned. This includes any open marshlands, swamps and other wetlands.

The Commission also has the power to study and make recommendations concerning open space preservation, water resoures management, air pollution control, solid waste management, noise control, soil and landscape protection, environmental appearance, marine resources, energy conservation and protection of flora and fauna.

The Rent Leveling Board will be holding its regular monthly meeting Thursday, 7pm in the upstairs conference room of Borough Hall. The Board holds hearings and adjudicates applications from landlords for additional rent; holds hearings and adjudicates complaints by tenants concerning violations of rental and tax surcharge provisions; holds hearings and adjudicates applications from tenants for reducing rents; and reviews and ajudicates charges of tenant harassment.
