5K In New Providence On Its Way To $1.2M Fund Raising Goal
The 2021 race is happening on September 12. Since its first edition, in 2011, the annual event has raised over $9 million.
NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ — The NJ Sharing Network 5K, happening on September 12, is over a third of its way towards the $1,200,000 fundraising goal.
Since the organization's first run, in 2011, it had raised more than $9 million to support its lifesaving mission. There have been over 80,000 participants from 18 countries and 38 states.
The NJ Sharing Network's mission revolves around encouraging different communities to consider organ and tissue donation, providing information about its benefits.

Among the top fundraising teams is team Buck, started in memory of Dan Buckiewicz , who lost his life in 2009 in a car accident, and through organ donation helped the lives of 70 strangers.
His family started the fundraising team all the way back In 2011 and has ever since participated in every race.
