Local Justice: Decisions in Municipal Court
The Shared Municipal Court handled two criminal cases arising in New Providence. There were no criminal cases arising in Berkeley Heights.

In State v. David Murphy (Towne Deli), of New Providence, the State charged him with a Board of Health violation: employee preparing food without gloves. The defendant pled guilty. The Court imposed a $106 fine, and $30 in court costs.
In State v. Bryan K. Davis, of Berkeley Heights, the State charged him with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana). The Court entered a conditional discharge. The Court imposed a one year term of probation and also imposed $800 in surcharges.
The convenes every other Thursday in the New Providence Municipal Center, located at 360 Elkwood Ave.
