Elementary students in New Providence and Berkeley Heights have a few of the best schools in the state, according to a recent report.

Five elementary schools in New Providence and Berkeley Heights ranked among the “Best Public Elementary Schools in New Jersey”, according to a report from Niche.com, a website dedicated to evaluating U.S. and Puerto Rican schools based on parent and student reviews.

The study ranked more than 40,000 elementary schools across the United States.

According to Niche.com, a high ranking indicates that “students are happy with their experiences in all aspects, especially academics, teachers, and diversity,” “the school is an exceptional academic institution in terms of teachers, students, resources for learning, and student outcomes,” and “the school is made up of a diverse population and fosters an accepting, positive school culture.”
