New Providence Police Succesfully Deploy Naloxone

Police saved the life of an unresponsive borough man.

New Providence Police officers administered Naloxone, also known as Narcan, over the weekend, saving the life of a borough man.

Officers responded to a residence in the Murray Hill section of New Providence shortly at 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, after receiving a report of an unresponsive man lying on the floor of his bathroom, according to a report from NJ.com.

After arriving, police found the victim unconscious and barely breathing. Officers immediately administered Naloxone and the victim began to regain conscious within minutes, according to the report.

The man was evaluated by Emergency Medical Services and the Atlantic Health Systems Medic units after being transferred to Overlook Hospital.
