NP Police: 14-Year-Old Stole Parents' Vehicle
The following arrest information was provided by the New Providence Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Patrols responded to Diane Court last Friday on a report of a stolen motor vehicle.
During the investigation it was determined that the owner’s 14-year-old son had taken the vehicle.

4-20-2012 – Corporal Jason Labaska charged Pamela Lee, 27, of Hoboken with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license, no insurance, a cracked windshield and obstructed license plates. The charges stem from a motor vehicle stop on Diamond Hill Road.
4-20-2012 – After a lengthy investigation, Detectives Bubb and Drown charged Vaughanetta Torrence, 29, of Newark with two counts of burglary, two counts of theft and one count of credit card theft. The charges stem from her involvement theft of a stolen 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Division Avenue which occurred on October 22, 2011 and two motor vehicle burglaries on February 4, 2012 on Marion Avenue. Detectives from the Berkeley Heights and Madison Police Departments assisted in the investigation.
4-23-2012 – Patrolman Michael Scuorzo arrested Barry Morgan, 27, of Newark on a Borough warrant for forgery. He also had outstanding warrants from Union Township and East Orange. Mr. Morgan posted bail and was released.
4-23-2012 – Patrols took a report from a Borough resident who reported that two rings were stolen from a nail salon on Springfield Avenue. The detective bureau is investigating.
4-25-2012 – Corporal Steven Opalewski charged David Pepper, 22, of New Providence and John Quense, 22, of Warren with violating a Borough ordinance for park hours after he located the two individuals in Oakwood Park at 12:49 a.m.
4-25-2012 – Corporal Dennis Carovillano charged Adeniyi Adelakum, 39, of East Orange with operating a motor vehicle with no insurance, not producing a driver’s license and operating a vehicle with a lamp out. The charges stem from a motor vehicle stop on South Street.
4-25-2012 – Patrolman Michael Scuorzo arrested April Toro, 23, of Secaucus on an outstanding warrant out of the Borough during a motor vehicle stop on Diamond Hill Road.
4-29-2012 – Patrols responded to the parking lot of Spring Floral Drive on a report from a resident of a group of individuals smoking marijuana in a motor vehicle. After an investigation, Sergeant Robert Carroll arrested a passenger in the vehicle, David Difede, 18, of Summit with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was released with a pending a municipal court date.
