Phoenix Is Berkeley Heights' Pet Of The Week

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ — Meet Phoenix! She has been chosen as New Providence-Berkeley Heights Patch's Pet Of The Week.

"Phoenix joined our family when our beloved Sedona passed on. We named her Phoenix because she rose from the ashes to take away our pain from the loss.

As a puppy she was active, independent, and sometimes a bit naughty. We were told in puppy school that she is the most un-golden dog they ever had. She trained fast and bonded with us quickly.

She is the heart of our home recently taking care of me after back surgery. I work from home now and I call her my office manager, a job she takes very seriously.She is turning 5 in May and is truly one of the best things to happen to our family!"

Participating in the Pet of the Week happenings is simple: submit your nomination by emailing alexis.tarrazi@patch.com with subject line "New Providence-Berkeley Heights Pet Of The Week." Be sure to include a photograph or two of your pet, a paragraph about what makes him or her so great, and the town you're from.

You can choose to include your name, but you don't need to. Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!

The photo can be of a present pet, or it can be a baby picture of the adult pet you're so proud of today. All photos must be property of the submitter.
