Scouts to Fete Community Volunteers' Efforts
Eighth annual Good Scout Award dinner planned for Oct. 2.

The Patriots Patch Council of Boy Scouts of America will honor four local residents for their commitment to the community at the eighth annual Berkeley Heights Good Scout Award dinner on Oct. 2.
Joseph Allegra, Dolores Scott Croneberger, Kathleen A. Harrison and Sue Johnson will be honored, the Alternative Press reported.
Allegra is the owner of Sterling Hallmark of Chatham and Stirling. He became an Eagle Scout and later volunteered as an assistant Scoutmaster. He also served as president of the Long Hill Lions Club and the Transplant Recipient International Organization.

Croneberger is a real estate professional at Prudential NJ Properties in New Providence. She is an active member and past president of the Rotary Club of Berkeley Heights. She is also a member of the Little Flower Rosary Society, the Women’s Club of Berkeley Heights, the senior citizens club of Berkeley Heights, the Berkeley Heights, New Providence, and Suburban Chamber of Commerce and the Archives Committee in Berkeley Heights. Croneberger has also volunteered her time in Scouting as a Den Mother.
Harrison is the executive vice president and partner of Pharmaceutical Media, Inc. She was involved in and served as president of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association. She was chairperson of the Hughes Drama Dragon Production of Bye Bye Birdie and also class parent. Harrison is on the Project Graduation Committee and has helped the senior class on the prom fashion show and the Lord and Taylor fundraiser for several years.

She has served as committee chair in various positions for the Highlander Booster Club for the last five years. She has also been the team parent responsible for fundraising Governor Livingston High School’s cheerleading and basketball teams. She also has been a Brownie and Girl Scout leader of Troop 957.
Johnson is the Project Graduation coordinator of the Governor Livingston High School, which she has been involved in for eight years. She is also the Recording Secretary of the high school’s PTO Board and is a member, and past president, of the Berkeley Heights PTO Area Council. She is also the past president of the Thomas P. Hughes School, Columbia Middle School, and Governor Livingston High School’s PTOs.
Johnson has also served on various committees of the town’s Board of Education: the Early Childhood Center Committee (1997), the Citizens Advisory Council for School Facilities (1999), the Facilities Action Team of the Strategic Planning Committee (2005), and the Strategic Planning Committee (2012). She has also volunteered in both of her daughters’ Girl Scout troops, as well as serving as the cookie chairperson for Troop 639 for 10 years.
